If you’re on the treadmill of “doing busy” – checking off boxes; getting things done, but not necessarily the right things that lead to satisfaction and your desired destination , chances are you often feel overwhelmed, stressed and exhausted. Performing at maximum capacity and achieving goals is often the aim, but what if asking WHY a lot more often and making a few simple adjustments could shift you in a more fulfilling and meaningful direction, would you be willing to ask WHY more often and make those necessary adjustments?

In one of my signature workshops,
The Power of Why: Doing What Matters Most, student participants and I have a real conversation about their everyday lives as college students and the overwhelm, stress, and exhaustion many of them feel as they juggle school, work, relationships and more.At the center of the conversation are strong suggestions to commit to asking WHY more often, trusting YOUR inner wisdom and making adjustments in response it, and how to get in alignment with what matters most to you along with tips, techniques and strategies.

Do you know why you do what you do and for whom? Awareness is key.

In this episode, I give you a glimpse into this student workshop and reference the short self-assessment used as the basis for our discussion.

Also, check out the book, The Power of Full Engagement: Managing Energy, Not Time, Is the Key to High Performance and Personal Renewal.  This is a great resource on the subject of energy management. I believe this is way more important than managing time.
